According to the police, around 1:30 a.m. on the morning of April 27, Ms. NTN (SN 1983, living in Thu Duc City) woke up to go to the bathroom and discovered that a thief had broken into the house, so she shouted. Ms. N. ran to the balcony and looked down the street, only to see the thief’s shadow, while her husband was injured and lying down. On the afternoon of April 29, police forces surrounded a motel room in Binh Chanh district, controlling Nguyen Van Diep and Hoang Duc Tai. Both of these subjects have previous convictions for the crime of “Theft of property”.

Two suspects arrested

At the police headquarters, Diep and Tai said at around 0:00 on April 27, Diep called Tai to make an appointment with Tai to go to the 23/9 Park (District 1) to steal property together. When he arrived at N.’s house, he observed that the door was not closed, so Diep told Tai to wait outside and then climbed onto the balcony to break into the house.
