Previously, on May 15, Phan Hien scored a hat-trick in dance sport with 3 gold medals at SEA Games 31 with dance partner Thu Huong. This is the first time that a pair of Vietnamese dance sport athletes have won great achievements since dance sport was officially introduced in the SEA Games.

Phan Hien (real name: Nguyen Doan Minh Truong) and dance partner Thu Huong won 3 gold medals in 3 participating categories: 5 Latin almighty dances, Paso single and Jive single. At the 30th SEA Games, he also won a gold medal.

In the moment of witnessing her husband make a miracle with 3 gold medals, Khanh Thi burst into tears in her husband’s arms. She is the coach of Phan Hien and dance partner Thu Huong, accompanying him throughout the training and competition process.

To have this great achievement, Khanh Thi brought her husband and dance partner Thu Huong to Europe for 2 months to train. Not only practicing with high intensity every day, Phan Hien – Thu Huong also participates in dance sport competitions in Italy and Spain to improve her level before returning home to compete.
