Recently, a mother and daughter were shocked after receiving a bill of up to 628 USD for two cocktails and a plate of food at a restaurant on the Greek island of Mykonos.
Accordingly, the mother and daughter from the UK in the incident decided to order two cocktails and a part of crab legs at this restaurant.
However, after asking for payment, they suddenly received an invoice of 545 USD (about 12.6 million VND) and the requested tip of 83 USD (about 2 million VND).

Not believing their eyes and seeing the unreasonableness in the price, the mother and daughter had an argument with the restaurant staff and said they would notify the local police about the “hacking” incident.
“We knew for sure that the bill wouldn’t be more than $200, but they suddenly made us pay over $600.”said the mother.
The two tourists then reported the incident to their travel agent so they could warn others to avoid similar problems.

Tourism is one of Greece’s key industries. It is estimated that one in four Greeks works in this field.

One piece of advice for travelers is to check and confirm prices from the menu right before ordering. If side dishes are not requested to be brought out first, check to see if they are available for a fee.
