Hit the “tiger” car, the container truck caught fire, rushed into the drugstore-Media

The howo truck (commonly known as the “tiger mallet”) turned to the road when it was hit by a container truck. The powerful impact caused the front of the container truck to catch fire before crashing into a roadside drugstore.

Photos of the accident shared by a member of the OTO+ facebook group recently attracted many comments. In which, many opinions commented that driving a truck “howo” to cross the road did not slow down, observe and give way to a moving vehicle. While, some other opinions said that the container tractor also lacked observation, did not control the speed, leading to the accident.

The Law on Road Traffic stipulates that, when wanting to change direction, the vehicle operator must slow down and signal the direction of the turn;

While changing direction, drivers and operators of special-use motorbikes must yield the right of way to pedestrians and cyclists who are traveling on their own reserved road, yield to oncoming vehicles and only allow the vehicle to change direction when it is observed that it does not cause obstacles or danger to other people and vehicles. In residential areas, drivers and operators of special-use motorbikes are only allowed to make U-turns at intersections and where there are signs allowing turning.

Regarding sanctions, according to the Decree on sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of road traffic and railways (Decree 100/2019/ND-CP), amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND -CP, a fine of from 10,000,000 VND to 12,000,000 VND, deprivation of the right to use the driving license from 02 months to 04 months for car drivers who commit the act of “Not paying attention to observing, driving speeding vehicles causing traffic accidents; stopping, parking, turning, reversing, avoiding, overtaking, changing direction, changing lanes in contravention of regulations, causing traffic accidents; Failure to follow the right part of the road, lane, failure to keep a safe distance between the two vehicles according to regulations causes traffic accidents.
