About the isolation exemption
Subjects and time to implement the isolation exemption: from April 1, for Vietnamese tourists who have had two doses of the vaccine, the second dose is completed two weeks before and within 180 days of entry.
Standard vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zenecca, Janssen, Novavax, Sinopharm (made in Beijing), Sinovac, Covishield, Covaxin, Covovax. Korea also recognizes cross-injection with those approved by WHO.
Children under 12 who have not been vaccinated but are accompanied by an adult who has completed the vaccination are also exempt from isolation.
Procedures to prepare before entry
Certificate of negative PCR or rapid test results (English or Korean versions available).
Register information at the Q-code system to enter epidemiological information
Vaccine passport (English or Korean). After filling in the information on the Q-code, you can check the vaccination information with the provided QR code.
Travelers (except children under 6 years old) need to present a negative test before boarding. If it is a PCR result, the valid time is 48 hours, the rapid test is 24 hours. Upon arrival, guests need to take a PCR test within three days.
The contents to be mentioned in the certificate of results: full name of the person doing the test, date of birth (matches the information on the passport), method of implementation, time of testing and results, time certification, place of implementation. This sheet must be in English or Korean.
Policy Visa-free entry at Yangyang and Jeju airports
In Yangyang: Only applicable for groups of 5 or more, on tour and visa-free for 15 days. Guests can visit locations in Gangwon Province (where Yangyang Airport is located) and the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon).
At Jeju airport: Guests need to comply with epidemic prevention regulations and must not leave the island, the maximum visa-free period is 30 days.
