The 2022 Francophonie: Honoring the common values ​​of sport and Francophonie

On the morning of May 21, 2022 Francophonie – Course de la Francophonie 2022 «Elle peut» – a sporting and cultural event for French-speaking people who love French and love running at Hoan Kiem Lake, Ha Noi. Interior.

The Course de la Francophonie was organized for the first time by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, the People’s Committee of Hanoi, the Organization of Francophonie International (OIF) and the Organization of Francophonie University (AUF), with the participation of students from the Diplomatic Academy.

With the theme “Elle peut” (She can), the Francophone Runner-up 2022 is the commitment of each individual in the Francophone community to contribute to the sustainable development of the country and society. Through running races and side activities (music, games, booths, photo exhibitions…), “Elle peut!” convey the message about the ability to make beautiful things in the lives of people who are considered “weak” in society (women, especially women with disabilities…).

50% of the registration fee has been deducted to fund three women’s initiatives through the NICE Program – Network of Initiatives for Community Development. Contributions from each individual athlete have been sent to 3 initiatives of the NICE Program since October 2021. This support has helped the initiatives to cover living costs and share difficulties during the pandemic. .

Many exchange activities, cultural exhibitions and art performances in French from Francophone organizations, businesses, schools and universities teaching French and French in the locality. Hanoi table will be held on the sidelines of the event.

The event was attended by representatives of Vietnamese ministries and sectors.

Expected to become the annual playground of the Francophone community in Vietnam, the Francophone race is a place to honor the common values ​​of sport and Francophonie: diversity, equality, respect and solidarity.

This year’s run is part of a series of diplomatic, cultural and sports events… held to celebrate the International Francophonie Day March 20, 25 years since Vietnam hosted the 7th Francophonie Summit in Hanoi. Hanoi (1997 – 2022) as well as highlighting the significance of the official visit to Vietnam in March 2022 by Francophone Secretary General Louise Mushikiwabo.
