Nationwide recall of Dr. Clean Strawberry Flavor of Today Cosmetics Company

In the document sent to the Department of Health of the provinces and cities; Fit Cosmetics Joint Stock Company and Today Cosmetics Joint Stock Company, the Drug Administration of Vietnam decided to suspend the circulation and recall nationwide cosmetics that do not meet quality standards with Dr. Clean Strawberry Flavor (lot number: 088U1; production date: October 23, 2021; expiry date: October 23, 2024; on the label: CBSPMP coupon: 225/17/CBMP-LA dated May 10, 2017).

Dr. Clean Strawberry Flavor was recalled nationwide because it did not meet the quality requirements of the “Isothiazolinon Preservative” criterion as prescribed.

Hand sanitizer Dr. Clean Strawberry Flavor is manufactured at: Today Cosmetics Joint Stock Company (Lot 26, Street 9, Tan Duc Industrial Park, Duc Hoa Ha Commune, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province), a product of Fit Cosmetics Joint Stock Company ( 276 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Ward 6, District 3, HCMC).

The Drug Administration of Vietnam proposes the Department of Health of the provinces and cities to notify the business establishments, using cosmetics in the area to immediately stop the circulation and use of the cosmetic batch, return the product to the product supplier and recalling the above mentioned batch of cosmetic products.

Fit Cosmetics Company cooperated with Today Cosmetics Company to send recall notices to places that distribute and use cosmetic product batches of Dr. Clean Strawberry Flavors mentioned above and receive products returned from business establishments, conduct a recall of the entire batch of cosmetics that do not meet regulations.

These two companies must be responsible for submitting a recall report of the cosmetic batch that does not meet the requirements of the Drug Administration of Vietnam before June 15.

Along with that, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requested the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Health of Long An province to inspect Fit Cosmetics Company, Today Cosmetics Company in complying with the provisions of the law on cosmetic management in cosmetic production and trading activities.

The Department of Health of the above localities must monitor the recall of cosmetic batches that do not meet regulations and handle and sanction violations according to current regulations and report the results to the Drug Administration of Vietnam before June 30.
