Busy hunting turtles, tiger sharks bite the paddle board

Brodie Moss “stuck” between a tiger shark and a sea turtle while paddle boarding in Australia, Daily Star on May 25 reported. Sea turtles move skillfully to avoid tiger sharks, but the hunter always follows closely. They chased each other around the board, sometimes even swimming directly below, causing Moss to struggle for balance.

Finally, the tiger shark swam up to the board and opened its mouth to bite. This sudden action caused Moss to fall into the water. In a tense moment, the camera seems to have sunk to the bottom of the sea and only captures the sand. Moss then swam down and retrieved the camera. The video ends as he emerges from the water.

“This is a reminder to myself, that it’s the ocean of these creatures and I’m just a guest. I love sharks and the little accident wasn’t the fault of this big ‘friend’.” Moss shared. He is no stranger to tiger sharks. Previously, Moss had posted on social media a video of him jumping into the water while a tiger shark swims nearby.

Tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) is considered one of the most dangerous shark species. This animal is responsible for the second most shark attacks in the world, after the great white. They are also one of the largest sharks, some reaching up to 5.5 m in length. They eat a variety of sea creatures, including turtles.

According to the Florida Museum, which keeps a record of shark attacks around the world, tiger sharks are curious species and often come close to humans. The fact that tiger sharks cause many attacks shows that people need to be careful when around them.
