The couple went to check, and they were shocked to find that there was a “death” hole under the foundation of the house. Tu and his wife rushed out of the house to call for help.

Currently, the assets in Mr. Hoa’s house, Mr. Tu’s house and nearby households have been moved to a safer place, in case the house collapses.

An ore mine in Chau Hong commune

Before the “death” pit appeared abnormally, people were urgent to come to the ore mine in Chau Hong commune to ask to go inside and check the pit tunnel. People suspect that due to ore mining, it leads to land subsidence.

People have pulled together to go deep into the ore mining tunnel of Tan Hoang Khang Company to see if the mining is correct or not. The mining tunnel is deep and wide enough for trucks to enter.

The police force was present to remind the people to maintain order and not to quarrel with the workers of the ore mining factory.

Mr. Tran Duc Loi, Vice Chairman of Quy Hop District People’s Committee and the delegation visited the scene and explained to the people.

A lot of people went to the ore mines to find the cause of the land subsidence

“For the subsidence to occur, people were very confused. Therefore, people checked the reality and found that the business no longer pumped and sucked water. After that, I directly explained to people and propagated to leave the mine area,” Mr. Loi said.

This afternoon, leaders of Quy Hop District People’s Committee continued to be present in Chau Hong commune to inspect and direct the relocation of people to a safe place.

According to Mr. Truong Van Hoa – Chairman of Chau Hong Commune People’s Committee, currently in Chau Hong commune, there are 299 dry wells without running water, 24 sinkholes, 191 households have their houses subsided, their walls cracked and damaged. .

The land subsidence also affected the two-storey working house of Chau Hong Commune People’s Committee and three schools and Chau Hong Commune Health Station.
