Man died from electric shock, suspecting that he was charging while pressing his phone

Neighbors in the same apartment block came home from work when they found the man lying dead in his room, the phone on his chest and the charger plugged in.

The incident happened at a motel room on 8th Street, Thong Nhat 1 Quarter, Di An Ward, Di An City, Binh Duong Province.

Initial information, at about 19:00 on June 2, a young man named Tri came home from work and found Mr. PVV’s room (SN 1985, living in Tay Ninh province) open, the car was in front, so he walked in and called Mr. V. take the car to the room.

At this time, Mr. V. lay motionless on the floor and did not answer, Mr. Tri kicked Mr. V’s leg again and felt an electric shock. Suspecting Mr. V. was dead, Mr. Tri ran to inform the inn owner.

The owner of the inn came to check, and found that on his chest V had a phone plugged into the power outlet, the phone was burned, and the scene had a burning smell. The owner then went to disconnect the breaker, then unplug the charging cord from the outlet, then report it to the authorities.

Receiving information, Di An City Police and the Criminal Technical Division of Binh Duong Provincial Police were present to examine the scene and take witness statements.

More than 23 hours of the same day, the victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for autopsy. Through examination, the victim’s right chest and the inner part of the right hand were severely burned, the body was not affected by external forces.

The initial conclusion was that Mr. V died from an electric shock. Determining the possibility that the victim had just charged the battery while pressing the phone should lead to an unfortunate incident.
