Big fire in Dong Nai’s most crowded factory

On the afternoon of June 5, while on duty at the weekend, the security guard discovered a fire broke out in the corner of the shoe sole factory of Chang Shin Vietnam Company, located in Thanh Phu Industrial Park. Receiving the news, Dong Nai fire police mobilized many fire engines to the scene to control the fire and prevent the fire from spreading. However, the warehouse contained many flammable materials such as cloth, rubber, etc., so the fire rose hundreds of meters high.
By tonight, the fire was basically under control. Nearly 1,000 m2 of factories and many properties and goods were burned. The cause of the fire is under investigation by authorities.
Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. has foreign investment capital, established a factory specializing in manufacturing leather and footwear in Dong Nai since 1995. This is the largest enterprise in the province with more than 40,000 employees.
