In Quang Van commune, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province, after two years of epidemic, people’s income here is precarious, but many people still choose to participate in voluntary social insurance. There are people over 50 years old and even workers who have participated in compulsory social insurance.

Farmers, fishermen, and self-employed workers in Quang Phu parish are also gradually getting used to the prospect of getting old – they have a pension. Together with local authorities, mass organizations and social insurance agencies here are also connected with the missionary to organize propaganda and mobilize parishioners to participate, focusing on families with stable incomes…

Hoa Thuy is a difficult commune in the sandy coastal area. People here live mainly by farming, income is precarious, the elderly basically live off of their children and grandchildren. Since the policy of voluntary social insurance and household health insurance was implemented, the Party Committee and commune authorities have determined that this is an important social security channel for people when they are old or when they are unfortunately sick or ill.

Currently, Hoa Thuy commune has more than 370 people participating in voluntary insurance, equivalent to 10% of the labor force of the commune’s age, more than 4 times higher than the national average, and more than 2,000 people participate in household health insurance. .

Therefore, choosing to participate in voluntary social insurance will help people in the future have a birth card with a monthly pension and a health insurance card in case of illness.
