Forbes magazine has just announced the Global 2000 list in 2022 including 2,000 largest enterprises in the world. Among the 5 representatives of Vietnam in Global 2000, Hoa Phat Group has the largest revenue and profit and is the only Vietnamese manufacturing enterprise participating in this list.

According to the ranking criteria, Forbes collected the latest financial data as of April 22, 2022 to rank businesses globally according to 4 criteria: revenue, net profit, total assets and value. market.
In 2021, Hoa Phat announced VND 150,800 billion in revenue and reached VND 34,520 billion for the first time, revenue growth increased by 65% and profit increased by 156% compared to 2020. Profit after tax ratio on sales net income in 2021 will reach 23%. Total payment to the State budget in the year was 12,500 billion VND, an increase of more than 70% over the same period.
Hoa Phat Group’s total assets increased sharply in 2021, increasing by nearly 36% compared to 2020, reaching VND 178,236 billion. In which, long-term assets still accounted for the majority when increasing by 9,318 billion dong, reaching 84,082 billion dong. The scale of total assets tripled after only 4 years, from the beginning of investment in the construction of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex in 2017.
In the first quarter of 2022, Hoa Phat Group achieved VND 44,400 billion in revenue, up 41% over the same period. Profit after tax reached VND 8,200 billion, up 17% compared to the first quarter of 2021. Total assets at the end of March 2022 is VND 185,847 billion.
According to Forbes, the businesses on this year’s Global 2000 list have a total revenue of about $47.6 trillion, a total profit of $5 trillion, total assets of $233.7 trillion and a total market capitalization of $76.5 trillion.
Businesses from 58 countries, the US contributed the most with 590 representatives, followed by China and Hong Kong with 351, Japan with 196.
