Making a “hat-trick” of gold, the Vietnamese women’s team received a reward of 6.6 billion VND

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awards women’s team 2 billion VND. Quang Ninh province rewards teachers and coaches Mai Duc Chung with 1 billion dong. The SEA Games organizers awarded 100 million VND for the achievement of winning the gold medal of the women’s team. Besides, a corporation promises to reward the whole team 1.5 billion VND.

Previously, the women’s team was awarded 1.3 billion for the achievement of defeating Myanmar to enter the women’s soccer final at the SEA Games. In which, VFF awarded 800 million VND. Quang Ninh province rewarded 200 million VND, and the remaining 300 million VND was promised by a business.

VFF also awarded 700 million VND for the achievement of defeating the Philippines in the group stage of SEA Games 31 of the Vietnamese women’s team. Thus, up to now, the Vietnamese women’s team has received a total of 6.6 billion VND bonus.

On the evening of May 21, the Vietnamese women’s team faced Thailand in a predestined match. Huynh Nhu’s only goal helped the “golden girls” of Vietnamese football to protect the SEA Games title.

This is the third time in a row that Vietnamese women’s football has won the SEA Games gold medal. Two previous periods, teachers and students Mai Duc Chung defeated their Thai opponent to reclaim the throne at the Southeast Asian Games.

The Vietnamese women’s team won at the 31st SEA Games to win the gold medal convincingly. This is an ideal momentum for the players to be more confident towards the final round of the World Cup 2023.
