Three Panamanian-flagged ships have been hit by Russian missiles in the Black Sea since Moscow launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine, the Panamanian maritime agency said on March 16.
According to the agency, one of the three ships was sunk but there were no casualties. The other two were damaged.
Noriel Arauz, manager of the Panamanian Maritime Authority (AMP), said: “We have 3 ships hit by Russian missiles but all crew are safe, we suffered material damage“.
The three ships above are Namura Queen, Lord Nelson and Helt respectively. However, AMP did not specify when these ships were hit by the missile.
Arauz added that at least 10 other Panamanian-flagged ships are still in the Black Sea. The Russian Navy is restricting ships from leaving the area.
The Russian side has not yet commented on the matter.
