The apartment that Quyen (born in 1993, currently working as an office worker in Marketing) and her husband own belongs to the Golden Mansion project in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City. The reason why the couple chose this apartment building as a place to build a home. Because this place has a prime location, it only takes 5 to 7 minutes to move to the center of District 1, near the airport and a large park.
A huge plus of the apartment that makes her “fall in love at first sight” is that the apartment has an Entry way and a Walking closet. Most apartments a couple go to usually won’t have an entry way. And when looking from the outside the door will see everything in the house, very privacy.

When asked which part of the apartment the couple put the most effort and love, Quyen did not hesitate to share that it was the kitchen. Since she and her husband have a habit of cooking together, it is very necessary to have a kitchen large enough for at least two people to comfortably prepare and cook.
And compared to the common ground of a 2-bedroom apartment from 60-70m2, this kitchen is quite large and also has a kitchen island. 9x and are newlyweds, so it can be said that designing your first home by yourself is a rather bold and difficult decision. Quyen and his wife hired a design unit to draw technical drawings for construction.
But the design ideas from the interior layout to every small detail in the decoration are proposed by the couple and communicated to the designer. However, sometimes the designer does not understand her idea. So the editing to get the final design is extremely difficult, “Probably the total number of edits is up to ten times”, Quyen shared.
Apartment before construction
Drawing out a drawing is one thing, but when it comes to construction, the couple also encounters many “bad crying and laughing” stories. The time to start construction was also the time when Ho Chi Minh opened after the epidemic, so the construction time was prolonged. It took more than two months to complete. In addition, because she was newly married, the financial resources of Quyen’s family are not too rich.

However, it is “in difficulty that wisdom emerges”. Because the economy is not abundant, Quyen and her husband have very smart and reasonable ways to invest. The couple did not contract the entire project for one party. But only hired to make rough parts and large wooden cabinets. There are separate small items such as tables and chairs, sofas, paintings, lamps and other decorative items.
She and her husband both search and buy separately from outside to have a more affordable price, but still in accordance with aesthetic requirements. Quyen is happy to share again “Almost a whole month went to see furniture with interior decor every day. We’ll probably be able to move on to selling furniture soon.”

The total cost for interior finishing and electrical equipment is 500 million VND. When asked why the couple “strongly” buys electrical equipment. From dishwashers to air purifiers, robot vacuums, etc., Quyen believes that nowadays life is busy, sometimes the couple doesn’t have enough time to do housework. Then it is the investment in smart electrical equipment that will be effective assistants to make the couple’s life more comfortable.
Young and on the first steps of the journey of building a home, but Quyen and his wife share a very clear view of housing: buy a house or rent a house on a monthly basis. The 9x girl shared “If you settle down, you can start a business”. If I am single, I can rent a house normally, but I may not give priority to buying a house. But because now the two have a family, they want to build a “non-temporary” home for themselves.
