Three websites use domain names and interfaces similar to those of the Ministry of Transportation, potentially creating fake driving licenses.
According to the Ministry of Transport documents, the website is fake gplxgov.org.vn, tracuugplx.vn and tracuugplxgov.vn has the same domain name and interface as the Driver’s License Electronic Information page managed by the Vietnam Road Directorate.
Meanwhile, the actual website has the address gplx.gov.vn. Here, the user can enter information about the driver’s license number (GPLX), date of birth, to search for personal information such as date of issue, expiration date, license class.

According to the Ministry of Transportation, handling these sites will help the public and relevant agencies not to get confused in finding SIM data information, limiting the provision and use of SIMs, fake drivers.
Previously, the Fake News Processing Center (VAFC) under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology also discovered the site Baogiathong.net has a confusing domain name with the Traffic News website. This website places a number of links to fake sites including gplxgov.org.vn and tracuugplx.vn.
The domain name was registered by a number of individuals and companies in Vietnam from late 2020 to early 2022. On the morning of March 21, the fake site stopped working. VAFC advises users not to use the services of this website.
