Diplomatic Delegation in Vietnam visits Vinh Phuc Provincial Social Work Center

The delegation presented gifts with a total value of 50 million VND to the Social Work Center of Vinh Phuc province.

The delegation was led by Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, the wife of the Foreign Minister, honorary chairwoman of the ASEAN Community Women’s Group in Hanoi (AWCH).

Attending the delegation were Ms. Elisa Fernandez, Chief Representative of the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in Vietnam, along with Ambassadors, Heads of International Organizations, Ambassador’s wife, representatives of embassies of other countries in Vietnam, wives of leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Assistant Ministers, leaders of units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and leaders of relevant departments, departments and branches of Vinh Phuc province. Here, the delegation visited the children’s accommodation and listened to Mr. Luong Cam Vinh, Director of the Center, giving an overview of the Center.

The Center for Social Work was established in 1997, operating outside the public sector with the main source of revenue from benefactors in the society.

Currently, the center is nurturing 82 subjects of social protection and regular therapeutic interventions for 31 children with autism, mental disorders, counseling, counseling, connecting resources to provide services. society, helping hundreds of disadvantaged people…

The delegation gave gifts and took souvenir photos with the children at the Center.

The visit took place on the occasion of the 6th and 5th anniversary of Vietnamese social work (March 25, 2016 – March 25, 2022), honoring the noble and human values ​​of the units, the people doing social work.

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, the wife of the Foreign Minister, Honorary Chair of the AWCH Group, expressed her respect for the silent but meaningful contributions of the Center, its leaders and officers and employees. Center throughout the years.

Over the past 20 years, Vinh Phuc Social Work Center has been a loving home where hundreds of hard-working and difficult lives are nurtured and cared for. The Center has really brought family affection, becoming a spiritual and material support for children and disadvantaged people to live a better and more meaningful life.

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc wishes to share and give the most sincere and warm feelings to leaders, disadvantaged children and children living and being raised at the Center.

Here, the delegation presented gifts from the International Food Festival Fund, embassies of countries, international organizations, Thai embassies in Vietnam and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a total value of more than 50 million dong.

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc emphasized: “Though small, but emotional gifts we want to send to the Center, we can partly share difficulties and hardships, create better living and learning conditions. for uncles, brothers and sisters and grandchildren”.

At the same time, this is a practical activity to promote the spirit of mutual affection, to join hands to help disadvantaged children, and to contribute to the good implementation of policies to ensure social security.
