“The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to carry out the tasks of the operation military especially. By the morning of March 24, units of the Russian army had completely controlled the city of Izyum in the Kharkov region,” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced today.

Konashenkov added that Russian high-precision weapons destroyed 13 missile launchers and a temporary base of a battalion in the city of Lisichansk, Ukraine.

According to Konashenkov, the Russian armed forces carried out strikes with long-range high-precision weapons on the evening of March 23 and the early morning of March 24.

Izyum is located on the main road between Kharkov and the breakaway regions of Lugansk and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

Izyum has been cut off almost all communications since intense fighting between Russian and Ukrainian military forces broke out last week. Video and photos taken from the city show that Izyum was devastated on a large scale, with buildings burned and bombed.

According to an announcement by the Russian Ministry of Defense today, the Su-34 fighters of the Russian Air Force have wiped out the arsenals of weapons and military equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces. After completing the mission, these planes return to base.

“Russian Air Force Su-34 planes neutralized military facilities and military equipment of the Ukrainian army. Areas for gathering military vehicles, armored vehicles, weapons depots were attacked. fair weapons of high precision,” added the Russian Defense Ministry.

Russian military forces also destroyed a Ukrainian S-300 air defense system with Krasnopol smart artillery shells.

Ukraine’s armed forces announced today the destruction of a large Russian ship in the port of Berdyansk in southeastern Ukraine. Photos shared on social media showed a large fire burning at the port.

Berdyansk is located on the shores of the Sea of ​​Azov and about 70 km southwest of the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol. The city of Berdyansk has a small naval base and a population of about 100,000. Russian troops first occupied government buildings in Berdyansk on February 27.
