Sun Group owns shares of NCB Bank
National Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB, HNX:NVB) has just announced the results of offering 150 million shares to existing shareholders at the price of 10,000 VND/share, the total proceeds being 1,500 billion VND.
Specifically, more than 148.5 million shares were sold to 533 investors, including 515 domestic investors and 18 foreign investors.
More than 1.47 million undistributed shares of this offering have been redistributed to 2 institutional investors, Everest Securities Company and Sun Group Investment Co., Ltd. Each investor is allowed to buy 737,444 shares.
It is known that Sun Group Investment Co., Ltd is an enterprise in the Group’s ecosystem Sun Group.
After the transaction, Everest Securities Joint Stock Company and related persons Ms. Vu Hai Anh and Mr. Tran Dinh Loi own more than 26.8 million shares, equivalent to 4.79% of the bank’s capital.
Sun Group Investment Company Limited owns 827,780 shares, equivalent to 0.15% of share capital.
In fact, Sun Group has had a presence at NCB since last year when its senior leadership joined NCB’s Board of Directors.
Ms. Bui Thanh Huong, General Director of Sun Group has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of NCB after the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2021. Ms. Huong was born in 1980, has more than 20 years of experience in auditing, banking and finance, business management and administration, and has held many important positions at TPBank, SeABank and Sun Group.
In October 2021, Sun Group and NCB also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement, marking a new beginning in the strategic cooperation relationship between the two sides.
On the stock market, NVB’s stock has been “popular” recently when it increased by 16% in 2 sessions from March 22 to 23, 2022. Closing today (March 25), NVB’s stock price stood at 35,500 VND/share.
NVB’s trading volume by order matching method is quite low, usually below 100,000 shares/session. Meanwhile, the put-through transaction of NVB was quite exciting. Since the beginning of March, there have been more than 21 million shares changed hands, worth more than 600 billion dong.
