Around 10:30 on March 26, a fire broke out in a small house located deep in alley 280 Bui Huu Nghia, Ward 2, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The fire started from above, so many people, even though they mobilized fire extinguishers, could not reach them. The risk of fire spreading to neighboring houses is very high because the alley is small, neighboring houses are built with flammable items.
During the fire, people discovered a young man with a strong smell of gasoline ran out of the scene and went to the ward police station to report.
The Fire Prevention and Fighting Police team and Binh Thanh District Police have deployed specialized fire fighting vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting. Due to the deep alley, the water cannon was connected to bring water deep inside to put out the fire.
After about an hour, the fire was brought under control. At the scene, a small house with a total area of about 50m2 burned, collapsed and many assets contained inside. Binh Thanh District Police have sealed off the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
