Will the “infidels” of the Android world make the big guys wary?

That is the content posted on Twitter by technology entrepreneur Carl Pei, one of the great brains behind the current popular OnePlus brand.

Nothing is a new technology company founded by Carl Pei after saying goodbye to OnePlus in 2020. Before “entering” into the Android world, Nothing released a transparent wireless headset called Nothing ear. (1) highly appreciated by the technology world.

In a message on Twitter, Pei said: “This is it, it’s officially here. This summer we will launch our first smartphone – phone (1). Although it will be unlike anything you’ve seen, and I’m happy about it, this is just the beginning of Nothing’s story.”

Information about the phone (1) is still very limited, however, we can be sure that it will be equipped with a high-speed Qualcomm processor and a customized Android operating system called Nothing OS.

Nothing posted a picture of the phone’s home screen (1) with an intuitive interface, a bit of pure Android, but no less interesting with the display of date and time information in Mini Pixel font.

Nothing promises their Nothing OS will distill all the best features of Android to bring the best user experience.

In 2014, OnePlus One launched with high configuration, low price, and achieved great success in the competitive Android market. Therefore, to make a mark for users, Nothing Phone needs to do more than that.

Further information about Nothing will continue to be updated in the next few months. The product will be released to the public between June and September of this year.
