Specifically, after updating to iOS 15.4.1, the battery life on iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone 12 models all increased slightly, but the improvement was insignificant.

Meanwhile, the battery life of other iPhone models such as iPhone SE, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 13 are all reduced.

So Apple will still need to release another patch to get rid of this bug completely.

Previously, iOS 15.4 was an update that received a lot of attention from users when it brought the “Use Face ID with a Mask” feature. This feature allows users to unlock the device even while wearing a mask, which has been long-awaited by users amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Face ID unlock feature while wearing a mask has been updated on iOS 15.4

According to Apple’s description, instead of scanning the entire face as before, the TrueDepth camera on the iPhone will scan specific areas around the user’s eyes to increase recognition when wearing a mask. The feature also works with both third-party apps and banking apps.

In addition, Apple also added an “Add eyeglasses” option, allowing users to use Face ID to unlock in case of wearing both a mask and eyeglasses at the same time. However, this feature will not work when the user wears sunglasses or a hat that covers part of the face because Face ID cannot recognize special points on the user’s face. Apple also warns that enabling this new feature could make Face ID less accurate.

In addition, the iOS 15.4 update also brings some changes to AirTag, helping users to reduce concerns about the problem of being secretly tracked through this accessory.
