The clip of the ‘comrade’ giving a strange fortune caused a stir among netizens

A clip recording the New Year’s blessing ceremony is being shared on social media, attracting the attention of netizens.

According to the clip, a man wearing a red ceremonial suit is pulling the hem of his ao dai over another man’s head and turning it around. After more than 30 seconds, the person took off the hood of the person sitting below.

Many people believe that the act of wearing a robe over the head of the person performing the ceremony is a variation of the ritual of the homage.
