Hanoi reopens karaoke service from April 8

From 0:00 on April 8, karaoke, massage, bar and Internet services in Hanoi will be reopened after nearly a year of closure for epidemic prevention.

In the announcement on the afternoon of April 6, the Hanoi People’s Committee allowed the opening of the above services but must ensure the requirements of Covid-19 epidemic prevention; at the same time, advise customers if they have symptoms of cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste, etc., do not use the service and do not participate in activities at the above locations.

With karaoke, massage, bar, and Internet operating, Hanoi has reopened all services in the area.

The number of new cases in Hanoi continuously decreased, from more than 32,000 to more than 4,000 (April 6). At a press conference on the city’s socio-economics on the afternoon of April 6, Hanoi’s leaders affirmed that “the city has passed the peak of the Covid-19 epidemic”. The number of cases in the last period of March decreased by about 45% compared to the previous reporting period, the rate of severe cases and deaths decreased; promote coverage of vaccinations for doses 2 and 3.

On April 6, the city also let students from grades 1 to 6 go back to school directly in all 30 districts, towns, on the basis of epidemic control and the voluntary and consent of parents. According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, more than 92% of students went to school on the first day.
