On 4/4, Vo Thi Le Quyen’s body was found in the room of a man in his 50s. The day before, this man had been hospitalized with a serious neck injury.
Both incidents took place in a room on the second floor of a house in Yodogawa Ward, Osaka Prefecture. According to Japanese media, at that time, Quyen was working part-time for a restaurant located on the first floor.
On April 5, the Japanese police had the results of an autopsy, making an official announcement about the Vietnamese woman’s cause of death. According to police, Ms. Quyen was strangled to death at around 9am on April 3. Before that, the security camera of the restaurant recorded an image of Quyen going out with the man upstairs on the morning of April 3 and then disappeared without a trace.

Kansai TV reported today (April 6), the identity of the suspect involved in Quyen’s death was identified as Mr. Toshiie Yamaguchi (59 years old), an office worker in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka with a complaint. forced murder, robbery, and body concealment.
According to police, Mr. Yamaguchi arranged to meet the victim to borrow money. However, Quyen firmly refused. This man used his hand to strangle the victim and robbed the property. Yamaguchi then used a bag and tape to hide the body. When Quyen went missing on April 3, the police went to check Yamaguchi’s room and found him unconscious with a wound in his neck and a bloody knife nearby.
The next morning, when returning to the scene to investigate the incident, the police discovered the body of the unfortunate Vietnamese woman. According to local media, Mr. Yamaguchi regained consciousness in the hospital and confessed that due to his difficult life, he attacked the victim to get money. The case is still under investigation.
