HAGL faces a fine of more than 200 million VND from AFC

HAGL is facing a fine of 10,000 USD (about 230 million VND) from AFC. The reason is that the mountain town team changed the practice time on April 15 without informing the AFC supervisor.

According to the initial announcement, HAGL practiced at 16h00 at Military Zone 7. After that, the team changed to 16h30 and finally 17h00.

Teams are allowed to change the training schedule but must notify the AFC, especially at the official training session before the match because it is related to the assignment of supervision and AFC communication to work. According to the rules, the team that violates will receive a fine.

This is the second time HAGL has shown surprise when competing in the continental playground. Before that, at the press conference before the match on April 15, coach Kiatisuk Senamuang and midfielder Tuan Anh had a costume problem, had to take colored tape to cover the sponsor logo on the front of the shirt before entering the meeting room.

This incident also violates the rules of the tournament. However, HAGL was able to avoid the fine because it was detected early, without affecting the time and image of the press conference.

After 17 years, HAGL only competed in a continental tournament. HAGL admits there are still many surprises. The above errors are assessed as small by AFC and many other clubs also sometimes make them.

Before the tournament, the club asked VFF and VPF to support the organization and communication in the process of hosting Group H AFC Champions League 2022. In fact, Vietnamese clubs when organizing home matches at AFC The Champions League does the same as HAGL due to the unresponsive staff and lack of experience in organizing the tournament according to the strict regulations of the AFC.

HAGL has just had the opening match of the AFC Champions League 2022 against Japanese representative Yokohama F. Marinos on the evening of April 16. In the end, HAGL lost 1-2. The only goal the team got was an own goal by the opposing team captain Kida.

HAGL will enter the second match on April 19 against Sydney FC. In the opening match, the representative from Australia drew with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Korea) 0-0.
