Gardens by the Bay participates in the sustainable destinations program

Garden by the Bay was announced as the first destination in Singapore to participate in EarthCheck’s sustainable destinations program, which is accredited by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

Launched in 2003, this program works with tourism destinations to facilitate and promote responsible social and environmental management and planning practices.

Mr. Felix Loh – CEO of Gardens by the Bay – said: “On the occasion of Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary this year, we are renewing our commitment to be part of Singapore’s sustainability story. We aim to take good action. for sustainable tourism by building on international standards recognized by GSTC through EarthCheck’s sustainable tourism destination program”.

EarthCheck’s sustainable tourism destination program aligns with Gardens by the Bay’s sustainability roadmap. This roadmap was recently developed based on the ESG model – environment, society and corporate governance, in order to accelerate the sustainable development efforts of this destination in the future.
