According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed, most likely Iphone 16 Pro will be equipped with Face ID sensor and selfie camera hidden under the screen.
“I think the iPhone with a full-screen display will be released in 2024. Pro versions of the iPhone 2024 will use the selfie camera and Face ID sensor placed under the screen. This may affect the quality of the selfie camera but algorithms will help overcome this problem” – Ming-Chi Kuo shared in the latest tweet.
Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo made a prediction that Apple would continue to stick with the Face ID facial recognition system in the next few years. Therefore, the Touch ID sensor hidden under the screen will not be able to appear on iPhones in the near future.
Some sources believe that Samsung Display will be the unit responsible for producing screen panels for the iPhone 16 Pro version. According to The Elec, Samsung’s technology allows for a Face ID sensor that is almost invisible to the naked eye, similar to how the camera hidden under the screen on the Korean manufacturer’s Galaxy Z Fold3 works.
