The Prime Minister appoints the President of the National University Council 2

In Decision 521/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Director of the Party Central Committee. National University Ho Chi Minh City holds the position of Chairman of the National University Council of Ho Chi Minh City, replacing Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat who has moved to another job.

In Decision 522/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Le Quan, President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi National University Council in place of Mr. Nguyen Kim Son who had moved to another job.

Mr. Vu Hai Quan Born in 1974 in Ninh Binh. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) in 1996.

From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Vu Hai Quan worked as a PhD student at the University of Trento (Italy) and obtained his Ph. After that, he continued his postdoctoral research at the University of Leuven (Belgium). In February 2005, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis and received a Postdoc scholarship at the University of Leuven.

Returning to Vietnam in 2007, Mr. Vu Hai Quan held many positions such as: Director of ITEC International Training Center and Head of Laboratory. artificial intelligence (AI-Lab), Vice Rector of the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City).

He was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Director of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City on October 5, 2017; held the position of President of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City on January 14, 2021.

Mr. Le Quan Born in 1974 in Hanoi, hometown in Quang Ngai.

Mr. Le Quan has a high-level theoretical degree in politics, a doctorate in Management Science from the University of Toulon (France); is an expert in human resource development and entrepreneurship; was appointed as Associate Professor in 2009, Professor in 2017.

Mr. Le Quan has experienced leadership and management positions such as: Head of Human Resource Management Department (Ho Chi Minh City University of Commerce), member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Francophonie Entrepreneurs, member of the Executive Board of the network. network of business scientists (France University Organization), in charge of international training projects at the University of Commerce; Director of Center for International Training and Education (University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Deputy Minister of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ca Mau Province; Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
