The not-so-useless King really has the superpowers of the S-Class?

One Punch Man has a very clear classification of heroes. Similar to the Pro-Heroes Association in My Hero Academia, the Hero Association in One Punch Man is not only based on strength, but also on the hero’s contributions to society and the destruction of monsters. What is different from My Hero Academia is that these categories use letters to divide classes. The people of the S-Class were people with special combat abilities.

King is the one who benefits the most from Saitama’s exploits while he doesn’t have any combat skills

However, in the S-Class there is a hero who got his status by taking the credit of Saitama. He really can’t do anything, doesn’t even have super powers. Despite his lack of combat skills, King could theoretically also possess the strength worthy of standing in the ranks of the S-Class.

King often accidentally appears at the right time and place monsters appear. Apparently he wasn’t trying to find them. However, by some hunch, he is often drawn to the right places. Of course, King didn’t have to touch the monsters, he was simply present. Thanks to that, he got credit for defeating monsters, enough to be placed in the S-Class. This coincidence is so repeated that many fans wonder if he is really as useless as he seems.

However, many fans think that it is very possible that King possesses some kind of super power, such as luck. King always appeared at the right time even though he didn’t mean to, and had actions that made people around him misunderstand that he had merit in destroying monsters. Thanks to that, he still maintained his position in the S-Class.

It is possible that King possesses a unique superpower: extreme luck. Thus, he was able to appear just in time for Saitama to defeat the monster. Through faith and fear, King also managed to eliminate a monster through his anxiety vibration, known as the King’s Engine.

The best example of King’s luck is the fact that he used his scream technique exactly as soon as Garo regained consciousness and defeated many high-ranking members of the Monster Association.

Currently, it seems that King cannot control his luck, although it is still helping him gain fame. Even so, King’s luck seems to be unmatched – maybe it will grow stronger in the future. In the latest development, King has gained more confidence in believing in himself and acting on what people think of him.

In fact, King lured Centichoro towards Saitama so that the bald hero could defeat the monster. Besides, King is also very lucky to accidentally have actions that make people misunderstand that he has great merit in resisting the attack of the Monster Association. Assuming that King can control his luck then perhaps One Punch Man will become more interesting.
