New aircraft from Airbus is present in Hanoi

Currently, Korean Air is operating 10 A220-300 aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region serving domestic and international routes. Australian airline Qantas announced this week that it is ordering 20 A220s as part of a program to replace its domestic fleet. Air Vanuatu has also ordered three A220 aircraft, including two A220-100s and one A220-300. To date, Airbus has received 740 orders for the A220 and has delivered more than 200 aircraft.

Airbus is present in the Vietnamese aviation market when Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vietnam Airlines and Vietravel Airlines operate the A320 family. Vietjet and Vietnam Airlines are operating A330 and A350 aircraft, respectively.

The A220 integrates modern aerodynamics, advanced materials and Pratt & Whitney’s latest generation PW1500G turbofan engine that reduces noise by 50%, fuel consumption by 25% per seat and emissions. CO2 emissions compared to previous generation aircraft, as well as having NOx emissions approximately 50% lower than industry standards.
