Sharing with PV, Mr. Giau said he has 8 years of experience in the barber business. Once he saw a clip of hair cutting with fire online, realizing that in Vietnam very few people cut their hair with this method, he was determined to learn and perfect his skills by himself.

Currently, Mr. Giau has been working with the profession of cutting hair with fire for 4 years and is supported by many young people in Ho Chi Minh City, excited to experience the “thrill” of cutting hair with fire at the salon.

Waiting for his turn to cut his hair, Mr. Nguyen Huynh Anh Khoa (living in Cu Chi district) said that the day before he only watched clips abroad about using fire to cut his hair, so he was very curious when he heard about this service. Currently in Ho Chi Minh City, he came to watch and experience.

“My friends who came to experience it for the first time were startled with this haircut. But once you get used to it, it will be very interesting.” Khoa shared.

Sharing more about the work, Mr. Nguyen Trong Giau said that shaping hair with fire takes more time and is more difficult than traditional haircuts because cutting with scissors or trimmer will cut the hair immediately, but using fire to tie the worker. must be controlled so that the flame does not close to the guest’s scalp, so that the hair burns evenly to create a hairstyle.

Giau’s toolkit only includes a lighter combined with a bottle of hairspray to create a straight line of fire, a comb and a bottle of talcum powder capable of absorbing water, adjusting the flame to the will of the craftsman. .

According to Mr. Giau, he himself was the first customer to try this method of haircut. Before applying the fire cut to his client’s hair, he spent more than a year mastering wigs.

Normally, cutting hair with fire will take about 30 minutes.

“Many customers are still afraid of taking risks when cutting their hair with fire, they just stand by and don’t dare to try. However, in order to ensure credibility, I have done very carefully and explained it carefully to customers.” Giau said.
