Therefore, the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam will terminate from June 1, 2022, to implement automatic toll collection without stopping, only for 1 lane for vehicles with trouble, and all 32 lanes for automatic toll collection. don’t stop. Drivers may be deprived of the right to use their driver’s license

Regarding the penalties for vehicles that are not eligible to enter the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway from June 1, 2022 as follows:

According to Clause 3, Article 2 of Decree 123/2021/ND-CP, effective from January 1, 2022, stipulating: “A fine of between VND 1 and 2 million shall be imposed on vehicle drivers who are not eligible to collect tolls according to regulations. the ETC form goes into the dedicated lane to collect tolls in the form of ETC at tollgates.

Vehicles that are not eligible include: Vehicles without a terminal tag (vehicles that have not been affixed with a toll card that do not stop) or vehicles with a non-stop toll card that the amount in the toll account is not enough to pay when crossing the lane. fee.

In addition, driving wrongly into the ETC lane at toll stations will also be subject to an additional penalty of deprivation of the right to use the driver’s license for 1-3 months.

Currently, the service of toll collection via card of Automatic Toll Collection Co., Ltd (VETC) has been connected with BIDV and Vietcombank to automatically set a limit for vehicle owners when the traffic account is not enough. automatic toll lane.

Customers using accounts of BIDV and Vietcombank can set a connection limit to deduct money from their bank account by registering for automatic debt accumulation service, to limit. When the traffic account runs out of money, the bank will automatically push the money to the vehicle owner without interruption of service.

Following the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh on the implementation of a non-stop electronic toll collection system for road use (ETC), from June 1, 2022, Hanoi Expressway – Hai Phong will pilot ETC toll collection at 32/62 toll lanes belonging to 6/6 toll stations on the route.

6 toll stations on the route include: toll station at the beginning of the route, toll station at National Highway (QL) 39, toll station for QL38B intersection, to toll station for QL10 intersection, toll station at the end of the route and TL353 station. At each station, 1 lane/way of traffic will be maintained to handle vehicles having problems during the toll collection process.
