Vinh Thuy sells NFT to raise funds for charity

Vinh Thuy sold 18 NFT images of dragons, collected VND 402 million to support post-Covid-19 patients.

Supermodel releases NFT photo collection 1988Dragon, including 18 works on May 10. The image depicts a dragon in a cartoon style with different costumes, expressions, and colors. After six days of auctioning the work on the online platform, the total amount collected was 402 million VND. Vinh Thuy Donate all to help disadvantaged people get medical examination and treatment for Covid-19 sequelae.

Vinh Thuy said that now life is gradually returning to normal, but the impact of Covid-19, especially on health, is still great. The supermodel said: “Many people I know are mentally ill and their health is not as good as before. I also met a number of working aunts and uncles, who cough endlessly and still have to work hard, earn a living day by day, and feel very hurt. I know that not everyone is eligible for timely examination and treatment, so I want to make a small contribution to help people.”

The artist collaborates with the People’s Committee of District 4, Ho Chi Minh City, the Tuong Nguyen Pagoda Charity Association and Binh Dan Hospital… to make a list of people who have been infected and have difficult circumstances to support.

Before that, the model spent more than a year researching about technology and art trends in the world today. Vinh Thuy and the team created dragon-themed NFTs, naming the collection 1988Dragon. In which, 1988 is his birth year.

Vinh Thuy is one of the few Vietnamese artists accessing the NFT market. Earlier this year, rapper BinZ released the NFT collection for the new song Don’t Break My Heart. In foreign countries, many stars try their hand at this field such as Taiwanese singer Chou Kiet Luan, Paris Hilton, American rapper Snoop Dogg, singer Shawn Mendes, Grimes…

NFT (non-fungible token) is the only digital certificate registered in a blockchain, used to document ownership of an asset such as artwork or collectibles. NFT exists in all digital objects: images, videos, music, text and even posts Twitter. Paris Hilton’s animated portrait in NFT once sold for over a million dollars.
