Previously, on the afternoon of June 6, at the headquarters of the Party Central Committee, the 13th Party Central Committee held an extraordinary meeting to review and discipline Mr. Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Affairs Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, former Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, former Minister of Science and Technology and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Personnel Committee Party, Minister of Health.

After considering the proposal of the Politburo, based on the content, nature and extent of consequences and causes of the violation; According to the Party’s regulations on disciplining party members who violate, the Party Central Committee decided to expel Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long from the Party.

The Party Central Committee requested functional agencies to urgently consider and handle administrative discipline in accordance with regulations for individuals who have been disciplined by the party.

On the same day, a source said that the Hanoi People’s Council has just convened a thematic session (6th session) of the Hanoi People’s Council, term XVI, term 2021-2026. The meeting is expected to take place at the headquarters of the Hanoi People’s Council, starting at 3:30 p.m. on June 7.

The source said that at this meeting, the Hanoi City People’s Council will hold a special meeting on human resource work and consider removing Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh from the position of Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee.
