Anime manga fans are excited when Boruto’s official Twitter account comments on NFT

More and more companies are entering the race to generate NFT, or tokens. However, things don’t always go smoothly. Now, it looks like Boruto has been used to perpetuate one of the many scams going on in this vibrant virtual marketplace.

“We have received many inquiries regarding the veracity of information circulating on the Internet regarding ‘official’ licenses for NFT and NARUTO based games and artifacts. No licenses are available. No licenses are issued for such products. Please beware of misinformation.” – Announcement from Boruto’s official Twitter account

The official Boruto Twitter account has announced to warn fans of the franchise that scammers claim they have an official NFT license for Naruto properties. Of course, this is not true. “We have received many inquiries regarding the veracity of information circulating on the Internet regarding the ‘official’ license for NFT and NARUTO based games and artifacts,” wrote the Twitter account. “No license has been granted for such a product. Please be careful of misinformation.” This announcement appears to be a response to an NFT and crypto project called Boruto Inu.

The Naruto and Boruto franchises have reasons to minimize contact with the NFT. The creation of the token trend is controversial as well as infuriating fans of the franchise, as Shonen Jump – from Shueisha Inc., which publishes Boruto – has previously stressed that they assured fans that no NFT would appear on social media in connection with the franchise.

In addition, there are many celebrities who openly criticize NFT. Popular Twitch streamer xQc called this a scam and following suit, streamer Asmongold also criticized the token and the people who buy and sell it. Some game makers also don’t appreciate the use of NFT, including Josef Fares of It Takes Two, who says he “would rather get shot in the knee” than include NFT in his title. .

While some might say that NFT still has a lot of potential, the results received by many NFT implementation companies seem to prove otherwise. Neopets has launched their own NFT, but the number of website users has decreased drastically due to the influence of the NFT boycott movement. Although Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint also offered NFT, sales were very low and turned the entire project into a disastrous investment for the company and players alike.

Even so, the world of anime and manga still seems to be fun playing with NFT. Animation studio Toei is currently planning to produce an anime based on an art collection called Zombie Zoo, and Fanworks is teaming up with Tokyo Otaku Mode to produce a show based on the NFT project CryptoNinja.

For now, Naruto and Boruto fans can rest assured that the company holding the franchise rights has denied the possibility of being involved in any particular NFT project.
