Domestic gold price continued to plunge, down another 1 million dong/tael
Phu Nhuan Jewelry (PNJ) decreased by 600 thousand dong/tael for buying and 800 thousand dong/tael for selling to 66.8-68.2 million dong/tael. From the beginning of the week until now, the price of gold here has decreased by about 2.5 million VND/tael.
Similarly, DOJI Group this morning fell sharply by 1.1 million dong/tael compared to the end of yesterday. At 10:00 a.m. gold bar was listed at 66.7-67.9 million dong/tael.
As can be seen, the price of gold has a significant difference in different gold and silver brands. For example, the selling price at PNJ is 300,000 VND/tael higher than DOJI.
The difference between buying and selling prices is currently around 1.2-1.4 million VND/tael.
The world gold price fluctuated strongly in the past few days, increasing/decreasing by 40-50 USD/ounce per session, however, it has not yet returned to the 2,000 USD/ounce mark.
Currently, the spot gold price stands at 1,944 USD/ounce, equivalent to 54 million dong/tael (excluding taxes and fees), 14 million dong/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
Gold prices in the international market continued to decline in the context of the Russia-Ukraine crisis with some positive developments. In addition, precious metals were under pressure when oil prices fell sharply, and the dollar strengthened before the US Federal Reserve (Fed) announced an interest rate hike.
