Recently, researchers from Pradeo – a security company have discovered an application operating on the Android platform containing malicious code called “Facestealer”. This malicious code can steal users’ Facebook account information. This is a type of malicious code (Trojan) operating on the Android operating system used by hackers, which according to security experts of Pradeo, is quite dangerous.

According to Dan Tri, this malicious code was found inside an application called Craftsart Cartoon Photo Tools. More surprisingly, this application works in the name of photo editing software and it is a cover to deceive users.

The way this application works is to ask the user to log in with a Facebook account. The hacker can then access all of the user’s personal information, even important data like credit cards or even sensitive information in the victim’s device.

Also according to Dan Tri, before being removed from the Google Play app store, this malware had up to 100,000 downloads. This means that at least tens of thousands of people may have become victims of hackers. Please check this application immediately, if it is on your smartphone device, users should delete it immediately.
