According to the police, after 4 hours of urgent investigation, the suspect who set fire to a motel in Phu Do ward, causing 1 death, was coordinated by Nam Tu Liem Police with the Criminal Police Department and other units. Hanoi City police officer arrested.

The subject of the serious fire was identified as Tran Thi Thanh Hai, born in 1993, living in Minh Thuan commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province. Hai is an employee of a company in Hanoi.

Suspect Tran Thi Thanh Hai was arrested by the police.

According to the security camera image at the scene, around 6:50 pm on March 31, Hai wore sun protection clothes, appeared from the corner of the yard to stand next to about 5 motorbikes that continuously lit on fire.

After about 3-4 times of lighting, the fire broke out from a motorbike and then spread to many nearby cars, then the woman ran away from the scene.

The fire area is at the parking lot on the 1st floor, belonging to a high-rise building, with concrete and reinforced concrete structures, with a floor area of ​​​​about 170m2. As a result of the fire, 1 girl died, 5 people were injured, including 4 children…

At the police station, Hai declared that she was pregnant but was not supported by her boyfriend’s family, leading to conflicts and revenge by burning the motorbike of her boyfriend’s family. However, through inspection, the police agency determined that Hai was not pregnant.

As Infonet reported, at about 19:15 on March 31, at lane 60 Chau Van Liem street (Phu Do ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) a fire broke out. The location of the fire was determined at a residential area cum high-rise inn located deep in lane 60 Chau Van Liem, belonging to group 40, Phu Do ward.

Upon receiving the news, the Nam Tu Liem District Police deployed fire prevention and fighting plans. Overcoming the difficulty of the fire located deep in the alley, the fire department quickly extinguished the fire and promptly saved many properties of the guests.

At the scene, it was recorded that about 4 motorbikes caught on fire, while a row of more than 10 motorbikes in the opposite direction were promptly rescued. Authorities saved about 7 people from the fire in time. However, because the fire produced a lot of toxic smoke, the authorities confirmed that 1 person had died.

Currently, the area of ​​Lane 60 Chau Van Liem has been cordoned off, an ambulance has arrived at the scene to take the victim out. The police agency is also opening the boarding house elevator that was caught in the fire to check.
