After 3 consecutive years of signing a contract to become the official sponsor of the Vietnam National Cup football tournament, Bamboo Airways has officially stopped accompanying this tournament before the new season.

The fact that Bamboo Airways President Trinh Van Quyet was prosecuted and detained for violations in FLC stock trading made the airline decide not to continue accompanying the tournament. Previously, Bamboo Airways was the main sponsor of the National Cup for 3 consecutive years, from 2019-2021.

In the last season, with the sponsorship of Bamboo Airways, the team that won the Cup received a cash prize of 1 billion VND; 500 million VND for the second place team; 200 million VND for two third-place teams; The winning teams in qualifying, 1/8, and quarter-finals receive cash prizes of VND 10 million, VND 20 million and VND 30 million, respectively. At the same time, Bamboo Airways also cooperated with Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) as a transport sponsor for the tournament.

Without Bamboo Airways to accompany, on April 4, VPF announced BaF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company as a new partner to accompany VPF at the 2022 National Cup football tournament. Accordingly, The tournament will bear the sponsor’s name with the name National Cup-BaFlesh 2022.

This year’s tournament has the participation of 25 clubs, with a total of 24 matches and knockout format. The tournament officially opens on April 5, 2022, the Cup final is expected on November 20, 2022.

The winning team will receive a cash prize of 1 billion VND, the second and third place will receive 500 and 200 million VND respectively.

The National Cup Football Tournament has the participation of V-League clubs and First-class clubs.

It is known that BaF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company was only established in 2017, the main business is pig raising, processing and supplying pork according to the 3F model (from farm to table).

BaF has charter capital of 780 billion dong, currently listing shares on HoSE with stock code BAF. The company is chaired by Mr. Phan Ngoc An (SN 1976). Mr. An currently holds 6.35% of the charter capital of BaF company, equivalent to approximately VND 310 billion at market prices on April 5.
