As the two valedictorians with the highest entrance scores at Dong Nai University, Dinh Thi Thu Thao and Pham Tran Tam Trang are not only classmates or relatives, but also share the same dream of becoming a teacher.

Dinh Thi Thu Thao and Pham Tran Tam Trang are the two valedictorians with the highest entry points at Dong Nai University.

Tam Trang is the valedictorian of Block D, majoring in English Education, with a total score of 27.25 (Math: 9, Literature: 8.25, English: 10). Meanwhile, Thu Thao is the valedictorian of Primary Education, with a total score of 27.25 (Language: 8.5, History: 9.25, Geography: 9.75).

Right from the start, Thu Thao has joined the club “Student of 5 good” to practice qualities and skills. She especially cultivates communication skills, agility, and vivacity. These are considered essential factors for Thao to become a teacher in the future.

Thu Thao and Tam Trang were originally relatives. Tam Trang is her aunt, and Thu Thao is her nephew. With this close and close relationship, the two have been classmates from elementary school to high school.

Having a mother who is a literature teacher, from a young age, Thu Thao idolized her mother, wishing to stand on the podium like her. By the time she went to high school, Thu Thao had intended to switch to Business, because she found this industry suitable for her sensitive and dynamic personality.

However, while applying for university admission, Thao chose only one wish, which is the Primary Education major of Dong Nai University. “Even knowing that I get over 27 points, I can pass many other majors, but I still don’t change my wish. I really love children and really dream of becoming a teacher. Someone advised me to go to Ho Chi Minh City to study. in order to change the environment and expand more, but I see that Dong Nai University has a reputation for training in pedagogy, so I decided to study in Dong Nai to be close to home,” said Thu Thao.

Like Thu Thao, Tam Trang also aspires to become a “ferry driver” right from elementary school. She is motivated by the dedicated teachers she has studied and met. Tam Trang shared: “What I remember most is Ms. Tram, who taught in 4th grade. At that time, she was a very young and enthusiastic teacher. She was friendly with students like a sister in the family. She was attentive, dedicated and caring. love, stick with and closely follow all activities of the class, from studying to artistic activities. It was she who made me determined to become a teacher”.

When she was still sitting on the high school chair, Tam Trang shared her dream with many people and received many words of disapproval. The profession of a teacher in the eyes of many people is considered a very hard job. “I know it’s going to be extreme, but the harder it is, the more determined I am. No matter what anyone says, it won’t change my dream”, Tam Trang asserts.

Being good at English, since 10th grade, Tam Trang has worked as a teaching assistant for an English teacher at a foreign language center. Here, Trang understands the hardships of teachers. They not only teach and impart knowledge, but also face a lot of dilemmas, especially when teaching young children. The concern of parents is sometimes also pressure for teachers. Therefore, a teacher must not only teach well but also be skillful in behavior and communication.

Tam Trang’s current goal is to successfully complete her university program. Besides, she will continue to maintain a part-time job to experience life and gain experience. Currently, Tam Trang is both studying online and working as a teaching assistant for online English courses of a foreign language center.

With high academic achievement at the high school level, top entrance exam scores and determination to pursue pedagogy, both Thu Thao and Tam Trang promise to become dedicated teachers in the future.
