Mercedes-AMG SL43 convertible car launched globally

German automaker Mercedes-AMG has just launched an upgraded version of the SL 43 series.

Externally, the SL 43 is distinguished from the larger versions through a set of symmetrical dual exhaust pipes at the rear and 19-inch wheels. However, customers can upgrade to 20-inch and 21-inch wheels if desired. Through the personalization program, the car can be equipped with special Manufaktur paint color, chrome-plated metal hopjc carbon exterior cladding.

The interior of the Mercedes-AMG SL 43 remains the same compared to the two more advanced SL versions. The car has two large display screens, a beveled bottom steering wheel and luxurious aluminum cladding details. The leather interior can be upgraded to more premium Nappa leather.

Mercedes-AMG SL 43 is a reduced version of two products SL 55 4Matic + and SL 63 4Matic + equipped with a 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine. The two more advanced models have a capacity of 470 hp and 577 hp respectively. With the SL 43, Mercedes-AMG positions it as a 2+2 electric convertible at a more accessible price point.

This convertible sports car is equipped with a 4-cylinder, 2.0L turbocharged engine with a capacity of 375 horsepower and maximum torque of 480 Nm. The power of the car can be increased by 13 horsepower through the RSG generator set. This power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 9-speed MCT gearbox.

With a power of 375 horsepower, Mercedes-AMG SL 43 can accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 275 km / h. This sports convertible can consume at least 8.9 liters of gasoline for 100 km of mixed roads according to WLTP standards in Europe.

This version of the Mercedes-AMG SL is equipped with standard AMG RIDE CONTROL and AMG DYNAMIC SELECT suspension with 5 driving modes. Customers can choose to upgrade to the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package with 6 driving modes including Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Individual and Race. The Plus package also gives the car a 10mm lower suspension, new engine feet and an electronically adjusted rear limited-slip differential.

Besides this model, a more advanced version of the SL 63 is the SL 63 E-Performance with a hybrid V8 engine that is likely to be launched in the near future with a maximum capacity of up to 831 hp and torque. 1,400 Nm. Currently, the price and selling time of the Mercedes-AMG SL 43 has not been announced by the company.
