Samsung continuously has trouble with Galaxy S22

Samsung is facing a lawsuit from users about the problem of the Galaxy S22 generation right at Korea.

According to Techspot, the three major carriers in the country of kimchi have now halved the price of the Galaxy S22 after performance problems appeared. Retailers said that the three major Korean carriers have nearly halved the selling price from $812 to $446.

Samsung is being criticized for overstating the Galaxy S22’s performance metrics. The machine adjusted the CPU clock speed based on the amount of heat, which happened in thousands of popular applications but did not turn on in the benchmark applications.

Since 2016, Samsung has included Game Optimizing Service (GOS) in its phones. This program will reduce the SoC’s workload in games, as well as in apps like Netflix and Spotify to prevent overheating and extend battery life. All smartphones have similar software, but the GOS is hidden, activated only when the apps on the list are running.

Previous Galaxy S devices have had better cooling than the S22, so the GOS program has received less attention. But recently Geekbench found that GOS has throttled performance down to 46%. This organization has decided to exclude S22, S21, S20, S10 and Galaxy Tab S8 devices from charts their.

While the line Galaxy S10 and older models used a vapor chamber for cooling, the new Galaxy S series used graphite plates to act as the heat sink. However, S22 Ultra still has a new vapor chamber, showing that Samsung already knows that the cooling ability of the S22 is not really good.

As reported by Reuters, the Korean electronics firm is said to have opted to ditch the S22 model’s vapor chamber to cut costs, and GOS has been accused of being a fix. But instead of expanding profit margins, a sketchy strategy led to a record low retail price in Korea. Last month, Samsung’s Device Experience CEO apologized for the case at Samsung’s 54th annual shareholder meeting.

In addition, the Korean electronics firm is facing a class action lawsuit signed by nearly 2,000 of its customers seeking compensation. Samsung has added a button for users to toggle the GOS function, but when disabled, the Galaxy S22 can overheat and have shorter battery life.
