WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden A White House official told NBC News there are plans to nominate five new judicial nominees on Monday, elevate two judges to federal courts and select three to serve in district courts.

When calculating according to the new method, 72 percent of Biden’s selection of judges will be women, 30 percent Black, 21 percent Hispanic and 19 percent Asian-American, the White House official said. In terms of personal background, 27 percent will be public defenders and 22 percent will be civil rights attorneys.
