Proposal to prosecute Korean businessmen for killing compatriots, dismembering bodies hidden in suitcases

The victim of this case is Mr. Han Tong Duk (35 years old), a fellow countryman of the same Korean nationality.

According to the investigation’s conclusion, Jeong In Cheol and Han Tong Duk happened to know each other. In the process of going back and forth, the two people invited each other to join the business.

Specifically, each person contributed 1.8 billion VND, but after that, the business failed.

On November 14, Han Tong Duk went to the company headquarters to ask to borrow VND 2.7 billion from Jeong In Cheol. The two sides negotiated and closed the issue, Han Tong Duk borrowed VND 2.7 billion with an interest rate of 30%, paid in full two days later. For profit, Jeong In Cheol borrowed money from many relatives to lend to his compatriots.

However, when it was due, Han Tong Duk did not pay the same amount of interest, but said that he would deduct the amount of the joint business partnership assigned to Jeong In Cheol half a year ago.

Frustrated by being defaulted on debt, Jeong In Cheol arose the intention to kill Han Tong Duk in order to rob his property.

To prepare the plan, Jeong In Cheol bought two hand saws, a pair of pliers, a pair of scissors, a plastic bag, a box of rubber gloves, etc. In addition, Jeong In Cheol also bought 10 sleeping pills that were crushed into powder. flour. All, Jeong In Cheol left at the company’s headquarters waiting for the right time to take action.

On the afternoon of November 26, Jeong In Cheol called and asked Han Tong Duk to come to a cafe to talk, then used a car to drive his compatriot to his company. At this time, the company’s employees have left.

During the conversation, Jeong In Cheol invited Han Tong Duk to drink beer laced with powerful sleeping pills, causing the victim to collapse on the spot.

In case Han Tong Duk shouted, Jeong In Cheol took nearly a dozen gloves and stuffed them into his mouth and then used his hands to squeeze his nose and mouth until the victim died. Jeong In Cheol used the items to decompose the body of a friend, put it in many plastic bags hidden on the 3rd floor of the company.

Jeong In Cheol searched for two gold and silver bracelets that Han Tong Duk brought, then left the company.

The case was discovered when the staff discovered the body and reported it to the authorities. During the investigation, the police quickly identified Jeong In Cheol as the suspect in the crime, so they quickly arrested him.

On the afternoon of November 28, the police arrested Jeong In Cheol while he was hiding at a friend’s apartment in Masteri Thao Dien, District 2.
