The paint shop’s mistake creates a different pink Ford Mustang Mach-E

The above interesting mistake was discovered by TheDrive, after an engineer working at Ford’s Cuautlan plant posted the image online. Accordingly, the car is in the pre-production stage (test production before mass production to the market).

During production, it seems that the paint shop forgot to clean the paint gun after painting the base white. So, when I poured red paint in to spray the top layer, the colors mixed together and produced this interesting pastel pink color.

Forgetting to clean the paint gun, Ford engineers have created a unique pink “coat” for the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

This particular car has been painted a few times before as the automaker is setting up its own paint shop and is checking the quality of the paint.“Project Mach-E has two pre-production phases before mass production begins,” Ford’s engineers told Carscoops. “During these stages, the first prototype cars are subject to a variety of tests, usually quality checks. Some of these will have minor defects, which they’ll normally be used to build. conduct further tests in the process”.

“This pink one was like the other three coats of paint underneath and, after being accidentally painted pink, it continued to sit in the painted area for a few days and was eventually repainted for testing.”

Although it looks quite interesting, it is unlikely that if Ford mass-produces cars in this paint color, it will be supported. As for the car, after completing the testing process, it will usually be kept as a display model at the company or sold at a discounted price to employees.
