How to avoid being ‘hacked’?

I also don’t dare to call myself “master” or “expert” of trips. But I often “steal” the whole family on the road, when impromptu, sometimes on big holidays – take advantage when the kids are not busy studying and my husband doesn’t need to work overtime. Therefore, I also draw for myself a few “pocket” experiences to share with you.

1. Schedule early – book a room, book a tour now!

Overcrowding in tourist destinations on weekends or during big holidays like April 30 – May 1 is too obvious, anyone can predict it. That’s why, before each trip, you should find out carefully about where you intend to go, then plan to book tickets, make reservations, book tours… as soon as possible.

Thorough research about the tourist destination will help you avoid unintended incidents such as preparing inappropriate clothes, getting lost, being ripped off by taxis, being “hacked” by shops…

Planning early will definitely help you have more options when booking air tickets, booking rooms…, from there, the service price is much “stable”. Moreover, don’t blindly believe the advertisement “super cheap tour” with “big deal”… The cheap is mine, moreover lately there are too many scam tour scams in luxury resorts. luxurious. You need to think carefully before putting down money to order anything.

2. Don’t be afraid to ask the price before eating

Many of you keep saying “who asks the price, stork every penny when traveling”. To tell the truth or lose heart, but I advise you to just brush off that vain face, don’t be afraid of people thinking you’re “countryside” or “little money”! Not every time you eat, but when you order a car to move, buy specialty items… – in short, whatever you do, you should ask the price first. Not only the price of food and drinks, but also ask carefully for service fees, seats, towels… – everything needs to be asked carefully to avoid being spoiled after the fun. In fact, asking the price before using the new service is a smart customer!

You should also bargain before you buy things. The brothers often do not know the price, but the sisters have a lot of ingenuity and sensitivity. Even at the restaurant, the sisters were half joking and half serious “can I have a little less?”, how can’t they get preferential treatment and avoid having to spend “heavenly” money on something that is not worth it.

Another small tip is to choose the right clothes. For example, when you go to the beach, you order buffalo meat, beef, walking chicken… what do you do for the “team” of money? With a tight budget, I choose clams, surface, and small crabs. As for the rush, I eat crabs, king prawns… Buying specialties as gifts is the same – if you have researched before, you all know what to buy and what to avoid. Before paying, you should check your bill as well as your rice tray / bag to avoid falling into the trap of increasing dishes even if customers do not order from the restaurant.

3. Decide always and immediately – definitively – don’t “get involved”

Every restaurant is crowded during the holidays. Although they wholeheartedly want to serve each guest with care, but “powerless”, it’s hard to blame, ladies. Therefore, I advise you to decide quickly and decisively when you have chosen the dish you like.

For example, in a seafood restaurant, you should “go to the market” around from the menu to the fresh counter, ask clearly what is left, what is missing from the service staff. Then only order one time, don’t order more to taste. That way we can eat immediately, hot dishes, attentive service…

After the meal, if the whole family is still hungry, the sisters can go for a walk and try some local snacks. Wouldn’t that be convenient for both ways, tasting many specialties?

4. Don’t forget to save the hotline number

The story of being “cut and slashed” and then resentful about posting on Facebook is not new in this 4.0 era. But honestly, why don’t you clarify all the details right away and always have to wait until you get home to “unveil”?

In my opinion, the best way when being “hacked” is to find a hotline number that reflects the local tourism situation and call directly. This helps to ensure both your rights and avoids a conflict if you encounter an aggressive, hot-tempered seller.

5. Get help from native speakers

I have a sociable personality, I have friends everywhere. So before every trip, I usually call my local friends in advance. When you arrive, you will also have a coffee date and take advantage of asking about the local situation for advice on where to go, what not to go, where to eat, where to skip… Having a local supporter is not fun and convenient. much more profitable?

You should also absolutely avoid the “stork”. Their job is to help the restaurant “chop” tourists, so no matter how good they are, they won’t love you! Be as “solid” as possible to avoid losing money!

The experience has followed me around the country and even when traveling abroad. If it is 100% effective, I’m not sure how much it will be more or less useful, helping sisters and their families avoid being “hacked” and angry when traveling on crowded occasions.
