On May 10, the police of Quoc Oai district (Hanoi) said that they are holding criminal suspect Nguyen Thi Lien (SN 1993; residing in Trung Chau commune, Dan Phuong district, Hanoi) to investigate the behavior ” Fraudulent appropriation of assets”.
Before that, around the end of April 2022, a number of gold shops in Hoa Thach and Phu Cat communes (Quoc Oai) were scammed by a female object to a shop selling fake gold rings.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Quoc Oai District Police directed professional units to coordinate with the Commune Police to verify and review the suspect. Based on the investigation documents, Quoc Oai District Police arrested Nguyen Thi Lien – the suspect involved in the above scams.
At the police station, Lien admitted that on April 22, 2022, the subject had sold a fake gold ring to a gold shop in Hoa Thach commune for more than 4.3 million VND. With the same trick, Lien continued to bring a fake gold ring to sell to a gold shop in Phu Cat commune for 4 million VND.
