Ho Chi Minh City: Fire of 5-storey house, police mobilize ladder truck to rescue

At 6:30 p.m. on May 18, the authorities of Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City were blocking and examining the scene to investigate the cause of the fire at a house on D5, ward 25.

Accordingly, at about 5pm on May 18, people in the above area detected smoke rising at the top floor of the house 1 ground floor, 4 floors, so they immediately shouted.

According to a witness present at the scene, when discovering the fire, many people in the area used mini fire extinguishers and pulled water pipes from many directions to put out the fire, but it was not effective.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting (Firefighting) and Rescue (CNCH) Teams, Binh Thanh District Police, mobilized many fire engines and many officers and soldiers to the scene.

The functional forces mobilized many vehicles to the scene to serve the rescue and firefighting work.

Because the scene of the fire occurred on the top floor of the house, the force on duty had to use a ladder truck to carry out rescue work and put out the fire.

Road D5 (the section from the intersection with Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street to the area of ​​Foreign Trade University campus 2) was blocked to serve fire fighting. After a few minutes of actively extinguishing the fire, the fire was basically controlled and completely extinguished.

Firefighters and police forces use ladder trucks to carry out rescue work and put out fires.

According to initial information, the house where the fire occurred has many floors. Below the ground floor is a game store, above are rooms for rent and houses. At the time of the fire, it was raining, and the occupants of the house were able to escape in time. No one was injured in the fire, but many properties were damaged.
